HOW TO MAKE DINNER ROLL WREATH;
Make a dinner roll dough
- Warm up the milk in microwave or on the stove. Add dry yeast and 1 tbsp of sugar, mix together and set aside to activate the yeast.
- In a bowl combine the flour with sugar and salt then add the milk with yeast, egg, oil and mix everything. Put the dough on the kitchen counter and work the dough for several minutes 5-10 or until is soft and dense.
- Transfer the dough back to the bowl, cover with kitchen towel and let it rise for 30-45 minutes or until double in size.
Form dinner rolls
- After the dough doubled in size, turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and knead for about 5-6 minutes, or until the dough is smooth and elastic.
- Cut the dough to eight pieces and then each of them into three pieces and form little balls
- Now prepare a sheet pan with the baking paper on the bottom. In the middle of the sheet pan place a small glass bowl for marinara sauce.
- Arrange the balls around the bowl to make a wreath. Cover with kitchen towels and let it rise for 15-20 minutes.
Baking
- Preheat oven to 400ºF. Remove the bowl from the center of a dinner roll wreath. Bake the rolls for 12-15 min or until golden brown
Preparing the garlic-herb mixture
- Melt the butter. Cut the herbs (I choose parsley) In a bowl mix together melted butter, olive oil, parsley, garlic, salt and granulated garlic.
Finishing Dinner Roll Wreath
- When the rolls are nice golden brown take them out from the oven.
- Gently brush the garlic-herb mixture over the top of the wreath, ensuring each roll is coated.
- Transfer roll wreath to the cutting board, put the glass bowl back in the middle and add marinara sauce. Sprinkle some Parmesan cheese on top of the dinner rolls wreath and serve.
Now, your dinner roll wreath is not only visually appealing but also packed with flavors of garlic, herbs, and savory parmesan cheese. Dip each roll in the marinara sauce and enjoy the deliciousness!
