The BEST Creamy Salmon Pasta
Creamy but low fat salmon pasta is the way to go. Instead of butter and heavy cream I used olive oil and low fat milk. Delicious and healthy option to eat your fish:) Kids will love it too!
Not only is this pasta dish delicious, but it is also a healthy and quick option for a satisfying meal.
The salmon in this dish is an excellent source of lean protein and is packed with omega-3 fatty acids, which have been shown to promote heart health and reduce inflammation in the body. These healthy fats also support brain function and overall well-being.
ANOTHER HEALTHY OPTION YOU MY LIKE;
The mushrooms in this recipe provide an array of essential nutrients, including vitamin B, potassium, and antioxidants. They are low in calories and fat, making them a great addition to any healthy meal.
The onion brings additional health benefits, containing antioxidants that support immune function and help reduce the risk of chronic diseases.
By using low-fat milk, this pasta dish achieves a creamy and indulgent texture without adding excessive calories or unnecessary fat. The low-fat milk also provides a good source of calcium, vitamin D, and protein.
Additionally, this pasta dish is quick to prepare, making it an ideal option for busy individuals or families. By incorporating these nutritious ingredients into a pasta dish, you can enjoy a balanced and wholesome meal without sacrificing time or flavor.

SALMON PASTA INGREDIENTS;
- Salmon: Select your preferred variety of salmon.
- Pasta: Feel free to choose any type of pasta that suits your taste and complements the dish.
- Mushrooms: I recommend using Bella whole mushrooms; however, you can also save time by opting for pre-sliced white mushrooms or any other variety you prefer.
- Onion: Pick any type of onion that appeals to you and complements the flavors.
- Low-fat Milk: By substituting cream with low-fat milk, you can make this dish healthier while still maintaining its deliciousness.
- Flour: Utilize all-purpose flour, as it works perfectly in this recipe.
- Olive Oil: Opting for olive oil will enhance the healthiness of the dish. Alternatively, avocado oil can also be used. If you don’t have either of them, any type of oil will suffice.
- Seasoning: Keep it simple with common kitchen staples such as salt, black pepper, nutmeg, and granulated garlic and onion, which most people already have at home.
HOW TO COOK SALMON PASTA;
- To start creating this mouth-watering salmon dish, let’s begin with cooking the pasta. This step will take the most time, but it’s worth the wait for a delicious meal.
- Select your favorite type of pasta and follow the instructions on the package to cook it perfectly in salted water until it reaches al dente. Once the pasta is cooked to perfection, drain it and set it aside for later.
IN THE MEANTIME:
- Prepare the salmon; if you have purchased skinless salmon, simply cut it into small cubes. However, if your salmon has the skin on, make sure to remove the skin before proceeding.
- Onion and mushrooms – Peel and dice the onion into small cubes, then clean and slice the mushrooms. Heat some olive oil in a pan or braiser and add the diced onion, season it with salt and black pepper. Sauté for approximately 3 minutes, and then add the sliced mushrooms, continuing to sauté for an additional 3 minutes.
- Sprinkle flour over the mushrooms and onions, stirring them together to create a roux. Gradually pour in the milk, whisking vigorously until the mixture becomes smooth and velvety. Add seasonings to enhance the flavors. Introduce the cubed salmon and cook until it is thoroughly cooked and flakes easily.
- Finally, incorporate the cooked pasta, ensuring all the ingredients are well combined.
Serve and savor this delectable and satisfying salmon pasta dish.
