- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 2 oranges (for blending, and juice)

Wash the oranges thoroughly. Cut one orange into small pieces, removing any seeds. Place these pieces, including the skin, into your food processor. Blend until smooth; the mixture should resemble a thick, orange-colored paste.
Juice the second orange to obtain fresh orange juice. Set aside.
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a 9-inch round baking pan by greasing and flouring it or lining it with parchment paper.
In a large mixing bowl, beat the eggs and sugar until light and fluffy.
Add the vegetable oil, orange paste from the food processor, flour and baking powder and mix until just incorporated.
Pour the batter into your prepared cake pan.
Bake for about 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Remove from the oven and gently pour in the orange juice let it cool in the pan.
Dust with powdered sugar and garnish with slices of orange if desired.
